EP 292
Welcome back to the Mindset & Action Podcast! Episode 292 is an exciting start to the year as I reflect on a major milestone: five incredible years of podcasting. When I first launched this journey back in 2019, I never imagined reaching this point. Did you know that 90% of podcasts don’t make it past three episodes? Of the few that do, most end by episode 21. That puts us in the top 1% of podcasts, and it’s all thanks to you—my amazing listeners. This year, I’m marking the occasion with something special: an in-person celebration event, and I’d love for you to join me. Keep reading for all the details.
The podcast officially turns five on April 16th, but with Easter holidays in the way, the celebration is planned for May 15th. This all-day event will be a mix of education, networking, and celebration—three of my favourite things! We’ll cover actionable insights based on the podcast’s pillars, hear from guest speakers, and, of course, enjoy some birthday cake and afternoon tea. It’s a chance to connect, learn, and celebrate together in person. If this sounds like your kind of event, book your ticket HERE . I can’t wait to see you there! Slowing Down to Move Forward
In today’s episode, I also reflected on the decision to scale back to one podcast episode per week. While two episodes a week sounded like a great idea for growth, it became clear that quality and sustainability matter more. Even industry leaders like Amy Porterfield have made similar adjustments. This shift has given me the space to work on other priorities without compromising the value I bring to you through the podcast. If you’ve been struggling with balancing your workload, this might be a reminder to rethink your approach. Remember, you don’t have to do it all.
It’s ironic how many of us leave traditional employment to escape demanding bosses, only to become even harder on ourselves. This past week, I found myself feeling overwhelmed with all the “shoulds” on my to-do list. It was a timely reminder that I’m not running an emergency service—there’s no need for the constant pressure. If you’ve been feeling similarly, take a breath and give yourself permission to prioritise what truly matters. Sometimes, slowing down can be the most productive thing you do.
One of the highlights of my week was a strategy session with business coach Jenny Donato, which I won in a competition. Jenny helped me see my business from a new perspective and offered actionable ideas that were invaluable. If hiring a coach isn’t an option for you, consider reaching out to a trusted business friend. Schedule a conversation where you focus solely on your business, then return the favour. This simple practice can unlock insights you didn’t even know you had.
As we move through 2025, remember that your business is your journey. Whether you’re scaling up, consolidating, or even stepping back, there’s no right or wrong way—just your way. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, don’t hesitate to connect with your support network. And if podcasting is on your list of goals this year, you know where to find the guidance to make it happen. Thank you for being part of this incredible journey. Here’s to celebrating our milestones and moving forward with purpose!
