The journey of an entrepreneur is often romanticized, portrayed as a constant adventure filled with success and excitement. However, anyone who has ventured down this path knows it is not without its challenges. In this Mini-Mindset Episode, I'm shedding light on the not-so-glamorous aspects of entrepreneurship, revealing the raw and unfiltered realities that many business owners face.

I openly share my experiences with motivation—or the lack thereof—and the difficulties of maintaining personal routines amidst unexpected obligations. These confessions I'm sure will resonate deeply with entrepreneurs who often find themselves struggling with similar issues. My hope in sharing this is that it establishes a sense of community and solidarity, emphasising that these struggles are a common part of the entrepreneurial experience.

One of the key points I address is the concept of 'peopleing'—the energy-draining aspect of continuously interacting with others. This topic is particularly relevant for individuals who may not realise the toll that constant social interaction can take, even for those who consider themselves extroverts. As an Introvert I know that this was causing anxiety on top of everything else.

Throughout the episode, I stress the significance of self-care, urging you to be kind to yourselves and to make time for rest without feeling guilty. By sharing my plans to keep this week light and to incorporate more self-care, I am modelling the healthy behaviour I wish to embrace and I encourage you to prioritise your well-being to.

We discussion about the impact of weather and external factors such as seasonal affective disorder adds another layer of understanding to the complexities of managing a business. As always I am open about my own mental health challenges and I hope this creates a safe space for you to reflect on how external elements can affect your motivation and productivity.
